Boston Trip

We went on a quick trip to Boston this weekend.
We went to Boston this weekend. We left at 1:00 a.m. on Friday night so we could miss the daytime traffic going through New York City. It only took about 4 hours to get to Boston. We took the subway into the city, where we first stopped at The Museum of Fine Arts -Boston. We saw artifacts and paintings from ancient Rome, Egypt, Greece, the Americas, eastern Asia and NEW ZEALAND! And then we spent about an hour in the gift shop haha. After the museum, we just walked around and explored Boston. There are sooooo many churches here! After a full afternoon of walking around, we took the Subway to our hotel and stayed there for the evening so we could wake-up early the next morning and explore some more. We were pretty exhausted from pulling an all-nighter :)On Sunday we went up to the "historic district" of Boston. Here we went to the old State House, the new State House, an old church and the cemetery where Paul Revere and John Hancock are buried. The "old" Boston is quite amazing. Some of the streets are brick and there are these incredible narrow alleys with classic, old-styled homes. After exploring much of the city, we hit up a few pubs :) We met a few people who we chatted with all night. The people in Boston are very nice! We spent the night in Heather's jeep in the underground parking deck :) Then we left Monday morning at 4:30 a.m. before Monday morning rush hour. On the way back to Long Island, Heather stopped in Connecticut about a million times in search for Connecticut postcards, but couldn't find any, so finally gave up.It was a really exhausting, but FUN weekend !!I'll send New York City pictures next! :)-Heather
