Kiwi's camping adventure

"Hi everybody! For the past few weeks, all the workdays have been quiet, since my host has no time to take me anywhere since she's still busy with school, but at weekends it's been really fun! Two weeks ago my host had her birthdayparty. It was so much fun! At saturday, few of my hosts friends came by. We watched movies and ate candies and drinked limonade.

At first we watched FF7 Advent Children, which was ok movie. And then we started to watch The Island, but at the halfway we noticed that there airs a Monty python movie "Brian's life" from TV, and since my host is a Monty Python fan, we decided to watch that instead. And sure that was funny movie! We laughed a lot. It was nice evening.

The next sunday my host's cousins came. We didn't do much, just ate cake (which was really good!) and chatted. But it was still fun! After all, the whole weekend was nice. And last weekend my host invited me to sleep in a lean-to with her and her sister and their two friends. I was so excited! We left at saturday night, and my host's dad drove us to the place we we'rte supposed to sleep. Unfortantely we couldn't stay there, 'cause there wasn't axe. We moved to next lean-to, and stayed there. After we made the fire, we just sat there and ate and chatted. It was a bit scary, since it was all dark and we were there by ourselves in the middle of nowhere. But I was with others so it was okay. When the clock was about 12 p.m, we started to sleep. My host's bigsister Elisa took the first turn to watch that the fire doesn't go out. It was actually pretty warm in the lean-to, so I slept well. At 5.am. it was my host's turn to watch the fire and she invited me to stay up with her. I stayed up for a while and watched the beautiful lake, but I was so sleepy that I went back to sleep. And when to morning came, we left the lean-to and came back home. I had to stay outside for that day since I smelt smoky (and I still smell a bit smoky...). It was so exciting night! I was able to see real finnish nature, and it was so nice. Next week I'm moving forward, to southern Finland! Yay! -Kiwi"

YAAA Finland !

"After Germany and Norway, it's time for Finland! I arrived here on the 24th August. It's been really warm in here, totally opposite what I was expecting! But I don't complain. Because my host Anni is busy with school she hasn't had time to take me to downtown, but she promised that we will go there next weekend.

For the last week I've been just relaxing. I've been sitting outside in the sun and that kind of stuff. I also visited one day my host's friends house, and that was fun.

I noticed one day that I'm not the only bird in the house! My host has two budgies! I wanted to chat whit them, but unfortunately they were afraid of me. My host explained that they're afraid of everything unusual (to them) so I shouldn't let it bother. That's a bit shame, but no can do.

This weekend my host will have her birthday party (she will be 16 years old at monday), and some of her friends are coming. We well watch movies and eat cake and sweets and chips and that kind of stuff. Can't wait!"
